ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

• Performs Bearing assembly and disassembly using hydraulic, pneumatic, and hand tools including cleaning and inventorying.
• Performs citric acid flush on customer parts.
• Assists in projects as directed by the Operations Manager.
• Operates machine tools to fabricate items as needed with direction.
• Assist with set ups and breakdowns on grinding machines as needed.
• Assists in maintaining department inventory.
• Cleans work areas within department daily.
• Moves completed jobs to next step of process as designated on job ticket.
• Any task assigned by supervisor or management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Needs to use hands and feet to be able to put on Personal Protection Equipment including goggles, boots and gloves.
• Needs to be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to be on feet 80-90% of time. This includes walking and crouching.
• Occasionally uses hand tools requiring good hand-and-eye coordination.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Mechanical and math aptitudes.
• Able to read Blueprints.
• Able to use measuring equipment, i.e. calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
• Organizational and housekeeping skills.
• Position requires mechanical ability, experience with bearings, housings, etc.
• Critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
