Key Responsibilities:

Employee Management

• Directly supervise plating team of 3 employees.
• Delegate and assign work based on production schedules, tank availability and tank capacity.
• Train direct reports in plating operations and techniques.
• Ensure plating team is adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect work and evaluates performance of direct reports in their duties.
• Work across other teams to ensure preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment is being carried out appropriately.
• Resolve any employee relation issues as they arise and escalates to General Manager if needed.
• Approve overtime and any changes to production schedule.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by General Manager.

Plating Responsibilities:

• Determine tank, machinery and equipment maintenance problems.
• Order materials needed for plating operations.
• Perform ultrasonic thickness, dye penetrant testing.
• Inspect work previously completed prior to plating.
• Maintain bath chemistry.
• Perform electro less nickel plating on roll internals

• Associates Degree in Chemistry or Equivalent Experience
• 3+ Years in manufacturing environment with people manager responsibilities.
• Mechanical, chemical or electrical experience is a plus.
• Mechanical and math aptitudes
• Effective communicator that has the ability to address issues across different teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel
• Ability to escalate personnel or production issues to General Manager
