Job Description

A local and leading designer and manufacturer of LED lighting systems used in demanding and high reliability applications is growing and has several Material Handler positions in our Inventory Department.  

 

The company builds advanced lighting modules concentrating on wellness, energy efficiency, and high-quality illumination of North America’s premier spaces.

The Material Handler position is part of the Inventory Department and is responsible for kitting supplies for an assigned product line. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work from a Product Supply List and accurately pull the required quantity of parts needed for the assembly of a specific quantity of products. Kit the supplies and deliver them to the appropriate assembly team for production. 
  • Accurately record the correct quantity of parts removed or added to the inventory bins, using a computer.
  • Responsible for physically putting away material that has been received and entered in the inventory system.
  • Responsible for the organization and safety of the inventory on the shelves.
  • Assist with cycle counts as needed.

 

Hours/Schedule:

  • FT, 40 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

 

 

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to perform basic math.
  • Must be extremely accurate and have great attention to detail.
  • Must be able to use equipment (Scissor-lift) to go in the air up to 15 feet; must be ok with heights.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs, daily.
  • Have basic computer skills to transact materials into inventory system.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to work successfully with others in the organization.
  • Have strong organizational skills and willingness to achieve great results.
  • Able to operate basic measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to stand for 8-hour shift.
  • Prior inventory experience helpful.
  • Must be dependable with reliable transportation.
